To simply describe April 6, 2018 as only a ceremony is an injustice! The pinning process was excellent, honorable, graceful, spiritually gratifying, and most important ordained by God. As I reflect even now, I chuckle because one of my "Strong In The Lord Brothers" said "dude, I thought you was bout to bust up out crying!" Yes...Yes I was...but I didn't. The presence of the Lord was there and His Presence was palpable. I was so proud to have my son there to witness the atmosphere and take in God's Ruah. I was glad my son could see an alternative visual of Black Men from all over the nation (not the same men he sees every Sunday) coming togther with one purpose, to Glorify the Lord. The was no cursing, no crotch grabbing, no over sexualised women, and no drama. The conversations with my son which ensued turned out to be classic father and son talks.
