A fathers's actions

We are all aware of the latest statistics about our youth growing up without fathers. That is why this story means so much more to us, than just a simple accomplishment in San Antonio. One of our newest brothers Carlos Rendon joined our brotherhood around January 2016. He has been committed, on fire and always ready to get into the word. Shortly after he started fellowshiping with us his son was picked up by San Antonio police and faced strict penalties from the state, including a possible juvenile sentence. We prayed, we prayed, we prayed without ceasing as the church in Acts did for Peter to be released. The last report was that his son was not going to be charged, he was given probation and community service hour requirements. Praise the Lord what a blessing and then the true purpose of the Lord was revealed. Carlos began to discuss options with the probation officer about how to meet the community service requirements. He mentioned he had recently became a member of a men's ministry that builds leaders, productive and responsible men. He told them we are active in the community and have been a blessing to him and his family. So a simple question was asked, "Would my son's participation in this ministry count as community service?" The response, "It sounds like a terrific organization, would they be willing to work with more youth besides just your son?" Praise the Lord, what amazing demonstration of God making all things work for our good. Now this young man's situation will become a long lasting impact in San Antonio as we begin to work with additional young men.
